Every year the Coachella festival kicks off the season, providing us with heaps of festival beauty inspiration to try out during the summer.
We’ve seen some stunning and bold looks this year, from peach eyeshadow and nude gloss for a fresh glowy look to flashes of neon colour and of course glitter! Festival make up is all about being experimental and trying out new looks. Today, I’m working with beauty hub Cosmetify to find some hot, AFFORDABLE products to play around with this summer, whether you’re going to a festival or going on holiday (because then you have more money for drinks and food, of course).
For a festival, you don’t want a heavy foundation that’s going to end up looking patchy. Instead, opt for a light BB cream like the Healthy Mix BB Cream (1) – I find this light enough to show off your freckles, but it also gives you 24 hour hydration and is anti-fatigue, ideal for a long day/night of partying!
When I really need my make up to stick, I use a setting spray – sometimes even applying before, during and after application just to be sure! There’s no denying that the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (2) is a cult product for a reason, it really does work and is seriously party-proof.
Coachella looks were all about that healthy glow, so add a hint of theBalm Desert Bronzer (3) over your face and body.
Glitter, shimmer and colour
Once you have a glowy, long-lasting base, it’s time to experiment! Highlight with this absolutely stunning palette from NYX (4) and sparkle with a glittery eyeshadow like this one from L’Oreal (5). I really like the Too Faced Glitter Pop Eye Liner (6), or you can use Technic Loose Glitter (7) if you want a bolder sparkle.
For on-trend model beauty, the Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Coast Collection Eye Shadow Palette (8) has peachy Coachella tones, and the Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Contouring Pallete WOW Edition (9) is amazing to pop in your bag and create some really brightly coloured, bold looks.
Don’t forget to pop on some SPF to protect your skin from the sun, and you’re good to go! All of the products featured can be found on Cosmetify, which is like a search engine for beauty, featuring tones of brands from fake tan, to skincare to toiletries. I’d love to hear if you try anything from this affordable wish list and enjoy festival season!
