There has been a lot of talk about the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream range in the beauty world, so when Elizabeth Arden sent me a bottle of the All-Over Miracle Oil to try, I was really excited to try it out for myself.
The product is an ‘all over miracle oil’, suitable for use on the face, body and hair. As the name suggests, it’s designed to work for 8 hours, giving you long-lasting moisture to reveal radiant, healthy looking skin with a firming effect.
When using the eight hour cream oil, the first thing I noticed was how nice the smell is. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it has a light floral scent that’s subtle yet reminds me of essential oils, or the types of scents you’d find at a high class spa. Very nice.
The oil itself goes on well, and absorbs really quickly, something I find really important in an oil. There’s nothing worse than applying something all over your body only to feel sticky for the rest of the day! The moisturising properties are excellent, after the first application dryer areas of my skin such as my elbows felt much better the next day. I haven’t used it on my hair as I have extensions in and my hair is prone to becoming greasy, but I expect this would be good for those with dry or frizzy hair, especially at the ends.
One of the best aspects of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil is that it’s a spray, so it makes moisturising after a shower really easy. I have to admit I’m far too lazy to moisturise every day, and since I have begun to use fake tan more and more, I’ve noticed my skin doesn’t look as great as it did when I used the Dove tanning moisturiser. Hopefully this product will encourage me to take the time to moisturise more as I don’t find it as time-consuming! Over all, I’m really impressed with this oil and I think it will be a great asset to my skincare routine.
