As you know, I’m very partial to a beauty box. If you’ve never tried a beauty box subscription then I can only describe to you the immense pleasure I experience as the postman hands me my latest box full of beauty surprises.
Last month I was introduced to the Blogger Beauty Box, a box exclusively for bloggers created by a blogger, Vix Meldrew. The Blogger Beauty Box is an amazing idea, as bloggers know exactly what other bloggers want (read: no perfume samples).
This was my first box, and I was seriously impressed, firstly because it was HUGE!
When you subscribe to beauty boxes you don’t expect to get many full size products, because, well, you rarely get them. One full size product a month is the norm. In this box, though, nearly ALL of the products are full size. How exciting is that??
Seascape Island Apothecary Soothe Body Butter (RRP £22) FULL SIZE
This Seascape Island Apothecary Soothe Body Butter is made with ingredients sourced from local producers on the tranquil island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. I’ve spent a few summers in Jersey and it is a beautiful island; Jersey lavender is huge over there and the smell of this body butter brings back happy holiday memories.
This is truly a luxurious product, made from an array of natural ingredients in including Lavender Oil to relax and calm, Ylang Ylang to balance the mind and Mandarin to rejuvenate the skin. I can’t wait to use this!
‘MooGoo’ Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Make Up Sunshower Lip Gloss and Argyle Pink Lip Shine (RRP £19.50 for both) FULL SIZE
Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Make Up is made from all-natural ingredients and doesn’t include any nasty chemicals that could harm your skin. In the box I received both the Sunshower Lip Gloss which is moisturising and has a hint of summery colour, and the Argyle Pink Lip Shine which is influenced by the Pink Argyle Diamond from Western Australia.
These products are nice but I can’t see me using them, I think I’ll probably give these to a friend, I’ve got a couple in mind! Hopefully they aren’t reading this and I can include them as a stocking filler this Christmas 😉
Anubis Barcelona Effectively Gold Mask and Effectively Caviar & Pearl Peeling (RRP unknown)
These products seem to be a bit elusive as they aren’t easy to come across when I had an online search. They come from Spain, so this may be why! These two facial masks give your skin a fresh and healthy glow infused with gold, caviar and pearl extract. Definitely looking forward to trying these beauties. I’m also pretty sure these are full size versions of the smaller versions available to buy. That’s ANOTHER full size product.
AcuRegen Rose Body Oil (RRP £32.99) FULL SIZE
Yes, another full size product!! This is my favourite product in the box. I could not be more excited about this. I have been forcing my partner to smell it and talk about rose oil all morning. Not sure he’s been enjoying it quite as much as me though…
You can pour a few drops of this rose oil into the bath for ultra-relaxation, or you can rub it onto your body straight after a hot shower (which is what I will be doing immediately). I adore roses, they’re my favourite flower, and this smells heavenly. Also, at £32.99, finding this in a £10 beauty box is beyond a bargain!!!
Elegant Touch House of Ho Ho Ho Nails Xmas Xcess (RRP £8.99) and Nail Guards. FULL SIZE
To finish off the box I received some Christmassy nails and nail guards from UK favourite Elegant Touch.
Blogger Beauty Box is for bloggers and costs just £10 a month.
