Gingerbread Man Martini Cocktail Recipe

Gingerbread Man Martini cocktail

It’s been a while since I’ve given you a cocktail recipe so I thought what better time than Christmas? This is a recipe for my all-time favourite cocktail to make at home. It uses ingredients that most homes will have around Christmas time, and anything that you don’t have is easy to come by and affordable. You can of course alter this recipe slightly, for example, if you don’t like coffee liqueur, this cocktail still works well without it, but I think it adds a little something extra.

Though we have gingerbread all year round, it makes me feel really festive and the addition of Irish creme and cinnamon make this an incredibly popular drink at my Christmas parties. You can make your own gingerbread if you wish, but this time I picked up a pack of mini gingerbread men from Sainsburys.

How to make a Gingerbread Man Martini Cocktail

Ingredients
Small handful of crushed ice (optional)
25ml good quality vodka (I used Reyka Vodka – it’s an incredible vodka from Iceland)
25ml Irish creme liqueur
15ml coffee liqueur (I used Tia Maria)
25ml Ginger syrup (I used The Ginger People, their syrup is amazing)
Extras:
Squirt of whipped cream
Gingerbread man biscuit
Cinnamon
Instructions
1. Combine the crushed ice, vodka, Irish creme liqueur, coffee liqueur and ginger syrup into a cocktail mixer.
2. Cap the cocktail mixer and shake vigorously.
3. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a martini glass.
4. Garnish with whipped cream (the more the better!) a sprinkle of cinnamon and a gingerbread man biscuit.
5. Enjoy!
