If you’ve been a reader of A Literary Cocktail for a while, you’ll remember that in 2016 I got married in the UK. I blogged about my wedding planning experiences and I enjoyed the process so much that it inspired me to devote an entire section of my blog to weddings – something that I continue updating to this day.
I got married in my hometown; we had a lovely service in a Georgian country house and continued the celebrations under a marquee under sunny skies. It was a wonderful day and if I got the chance to do it all over again I would mainly just want to remind myself to CALM DOWN. I was on the edge most of the day because I’d spent so long planning the wedding I almost forgot to enjoy it!
Destination2.co.uk recently contacted me to tell me about their new campaign, all about the idea of the ‘perfect’ wedding or honeymoon. If money was no option, where would you go? What would you do?
If money was no option I would have loved to get married abroad; if I had enough money to pay for all of our family and friends to come too, then getting married somewhere exotic would be a dream!
Though I have traveled to many European countries, I haven’t been any further so somewhere like Thailand would be my choice for a destination wedding or a luxurious honeymoon. Thailand has always appealed to me, the beautiful, vibrant scenery and historic resorts would make the magical experience of getting married even more special. One of my favourite things to do with my husband is travel, and if we ever renew our vows I will be definitely hinting we go to the exotic paradise that is Thailand!
Are you newly engaged or planning your honeymoon? Destination2 are currently running a competition to find the Perfect Proposal 2018 and winners will be rewarded with a luxurious 7 night honeymoon in Mauritius! Enter here.
