As you may know, I am a huge wine fan. In my house, wine goes with pretty much anything: steak, fish, salad…. crumpets, cornflakes… Basically if a day ends with Y, I can find a reason to pop open a bottle.
Wine truly is a wonderful drink. There’s a perfect wine for any mood, any occasion and any meal. When I go out to eat at a restaurant, I scour the menu for the perfect bottle of wine before I’ve even thought about my main. What I don’t usually do, though, is think about what type of wine would best compliment my food.
Roberson Wine recently contacted me to let me know they had created a food and wine pairing guide to help people like me match their food and wine. Though I have a basic idea of what kind of wine matches particular food groups (steak = red wine), I didn’t know exactly what to go for or why they go so well together.
Take a look at the infographic below and keep it in mind the next time you want to match your wine with your meal!
