I’ve been wanting to write more beauty posts on A Literary Cocktail so I thought I’d write a March Empties post and show you some of the beauty products I’m currently using, loving and ready to re-purchase.
Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Instant Tan
I love a bit if fake tan, but what I love even more is affordable fake tan. This brand has stormed the market and is now seen as a bit of a cult beauty product. This fake tan is unique; you simply apply the mousse, and then either wait one, two or three hours (depending how deep you like your tan) and then wash it off. This means no gross fake tan smell and no stains on the bedsheets. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and the first time I tried it I wasn’t impressed, but I only left it on for an hour. The next time I left it on for the full three hours and I got much better results. It’s streak-free, flawless and gives you a really gorgeous golden glow.
It’s so easy this would be a great product for any tanning beginners, especially those with every fair skin, as the hour long tan is quite subtle. I topped my tan up with some Dove tanning moisturiser and I’m looking lovely and brown.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I think most people must have tried this by now! The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has become my night-time routine staple. It just makes it so easy to remove your make up, without being as harsh to skin as make-up wipes.
Agent Provocateur Eau de Parfum
I’m gutted I’ve come to the end of this perfume, it literally smells like sweets. It’s sooo soo nice. And it makes me feel kinda sexy when I wear it.
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour Foundation
The Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour Foundation is my favourite foundation and I use it every day. I like to have a good amount of coverage and this gives you just that. It’s pretty heavy but it really does stay put all day. I tend to lose a bit around my nose as it’s particularly oily, but it takes well to extra layers so it still looks good if you add a little more later on. The only downside I’d say about this product is that it doesn’t last very long; there’s not actually much in there and as it’s made of glass or something similar, you can’t cut it open or squeeze out the remainder. This means you never use the whole product which is pretty annoying, but all of Rimmel’s foundations are made this way.
Collection Blush, Shocking Number 1
I love this blush, it’s so cheap and is a lovely colour. It does look rather shockingly pink, but it’s not that dark when you put it on. It’s my current favourite budget blusher.
Have you used any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
