The importance of friends and staying connected

I’ve recently changed careers, and I’m currently busier than ever. This means I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to make time for me – my yoga routine is now pretty much non-existent and I’ve eaten more biscuits than I’d like to admit.

However, one part of my life I am determined to make time for is my friends and family. No matter how stressful life is, no matter how tired I am, there’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing my family and friends. So, when giffgaff asked if I’d like to host a games night, I jumped at the chance!

My family and I love a board games night, so as my sister’s birthday was coming up, I packed up the generous gifts sent from giffgaff and went on my way! My sister currently lives in London, and the rest of my close family live all over the UK, so we don’t see each other as often as we like. Days like these are incredibly special and I knew we’d have a lot of fun trying out some brand new games from Big Potato Games.

We used my new Amazon Echo to listen to nineties music, cracked open the gin, ordered the pizza and settled down to try out the games. We soon realised Bucket of Doom was perhaps best suited for a night when my Mum isn’t there, so focused on the very fun Weird Things Humans Search For and the excellent Obama Llama 2.

We had a lot of fun, so thank you to giffgaff for my goodies, I know that we’ll be able to use them for many more games nights; I’m already planning one for Christmas!
